AMERICAN AGREEMENT MESSAGE |
|
Dear Romanian friends,
Hello from Dallas, Texas and our school, St. John’s Episcopal School. As you might know, Dallas is in the middle of the south of the United States (near the red star). This means that we usually don’t have much really cold weather, like you do. Sometimes, we do get snow – and we love to be able to play in it and make snowmen when we can! During the summer months of June, July and August, we are on Summer Break- it is very hot – and we try to relax and do a lot of swimming to stay cool.
We are sixth graders at our school that includes Pre-Kindergarten-8th grade, too. As sixth graders, we are boys and girls, about eleven or twelve years old, who begin our school days with a short church service that we call “chapel.” Then, it’s classes with our great teachers at St. John’s. |

|
We also take a variety of different languages, such as German, Spanish or French, and we work some in our computer lab for technology, which has become a big part of the schools curriculum since the completion of our new Lower School, Performing Arts Center, Media Center, and Computer Lab. We have lots of sports and a student council at our school, and three times a year (not enough of course!), we attend a middle school dance.
We all feel very strongly that our school is the best one in all of Dallas: the best teachers, students, friends, campus and activities. St. John’s has a diversity program that lets us learn about different cultures, races, and religions. Most of us started together at our school when we were about four years old -- and we will finish together before going on to a different high school after eighth grade here at St. John’s. Our sixth grade class at St. John’s is pleased to have the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you and to participate in this international project. We would love to hear from you again!
Sincerely, Cami Mavelian and Kelsey Montgomery |
